Multi-user & multi-team
Kimai can be used by as many users as you want: each installation supports unlimited users with different roles. Teams can be created to group your users into logical groups like departments or project-related peer groups. Customers and projects can be assigned to those teams, limiting visibility and access for other users.
Invoicing & activities
Kimai provides various templates, a calculator and an invoice number generator. You can add your own templates, in the file formats XLSX, ODS, CSV, DOCX. Activities (or tasks) are used to assign the unit of work to timesheet entries. You can manage activities for each project with order number, budget and visibility (for archiving). Activities can also be global. No more duplications are necessary if your projects share the same working unit.
Multi-language
Kimai allows you to manage projects for each customer with order number, budget and visibility (for archiving). It can be localized to any language and has already been translated into around thirty languages.
SAML & LDAP
You log in and register users via SAML (single sign-on – SSO) and reuse your existing identity provider, like Google Workspace or Azure Active Directory. You connect your company's directory server (LDAP or Active Directory) to Kimai and use your existing authentication infrastructure.
